He was a City Commissioner, a retired firefighter for Sallisaw Fire Department and retired from the City of Sallisaw, where he worked in Code Enforcement.

Funeral Services were 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Sallisaw, Oklahoma with Reverend Bryan Drake and Mr. Shannon Vann officiating.
