Sorry I didn't get to see Bob one more time before he passed on. He was a sweet guy! I was hoping to see him at the Reunion and was sorry to see his name on the list of our deceased classmates.

I had known Bob when he and I lived in Guymon, Oklahoma, and then we both found ourselves in Pampa years later. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

This both shocked and saddened me. Does anyone have any information on when or how he passed away? Bob and my husband David, Dennis Hickey, John Doucette and Bob Doucette and all their ladies--including me-rode motorcycles together for a couple of years or more after we had a year or so of college and met up again in Amarillo. Bob helped me through some tough times and I have always regretted losing touch after Dave and I moved to Oklahoma.
Wonder if there are motorcycles in heaven?

Like Karen I continue to wonder what happened to Bob.  We didn't run around together, but we lived just across the street from each other so we played together as kids.

We had a pretty eclectic group in our neighorhood. Dick Wilkerson lived next door to Bob. Schyler Stuckey was next door to me. Mike Wise, Robert Deweese, Linda and Kay Bohlander, Mike McComas, Dale Crider and Matt Mills all lived within a city block.

Diving down the street where we all used to live is like the play "Our Town".  Not a trace of our families is there today.  When I sold our old family home in 2007 it was the last of the old neighborhood.  Now little kids play here we used to play and a new generation of soon to be Pampa alumni is growing up.

Robert "Doc" Deweese has also passed on.

You are remembered with fondness and good memories, Bob Cherry.
