Charlet was a unique individual and I feel sad I did not take the time to understand her better. Her life at home was very different than most of ours and she probably could have taught us all a lot about life, if we had onlypayed attention. She brings to mind a person who had a lot of responsibility that we could not comprehend at that time in our lives, with all the siblings she had.
When I think back about Charlet, I also think of the lady from England's American Idol, whom I am sure you have all
heard of by now.....the one with the beautiful voice, I can't help but wonder what talents we might have enjoyed
of Charlet's, I do know she was a good cook and she loved.
I hope God has blessed you well dear Charlet, we should have loved you better.

I was guilty of being one of those who teased you in school and probably made you cry more than once. Forgive me, Charlotte. I was very stupid.

I remember in particular Charlet was in my homeec class. I always tried to be nice to her and found that she had a great sense of humor. I was glad to learn from her obit that she owned a restaurant in Groom before her death last year.

Charlotte and I were in FHA together at PHS and I thought she was so sweet and very friendly when you got to know her. I knew about her restaurant in Groom, I married a Groom boy and Charlotte and I talked alot when we got to go back. Actually, there is a song written about her and her restaurant, I wish I could remember what she told me it was.
