Wayne was always such a happy guy - and so dependable. It seems that I knew him the entire time we were in school. Baker, Pampa Jr. Hi, PHS. I liked Wayne a lot and am sorry to hear of his death. I would like to know more about the circumstances.
James (or Jimmie) Wayne DeWitt, Jr. was born the 12th of May, 1951 in Wheeler.
According to public records:
He married Wanda McNutt on Jan 8, 1971 and they had a daughter, Melissa Lynn born October 21, 1971 in Gray County, Texas. Another daughter, Brandy Heather, was born May 23, 1975 also in Gray County, presumably Pampa.
He might have been married again in the 80's, but I can't be for sure that was him.
I will always remember Wayne's great smile and laughter. He was also a gentleman and a friend. God bless the memory of him and his family during their time of loss.

He died July 17, 2003 while living in Perryton.
