The summer of 1968, before my senior year, I dated Rick. We used to ride the drag in his big 1958 (I think) turquoise and white Chevy. It was a tank and he was so proud of it. He was the most gentle, kind boy I had ever met and being with him was a joy. I hung around with his sister, Cherry, a lot, so I got to see him every day. I think he was the first guy I ever really loved and he moved away our senior year. I still have fond memories of him and know he would have been a great man.
