I think Gwen was one of the hardest working band members I can remember. She never seemed to see the hours of marching and playing as a negative, but as a challenge that she could conquer every time. We would all be grousing as we waited for our chance at the water, and Gwen would just stand there and politely wait her turn without complaint.
