I have been to Canada, England, France, Germany and Romania.

I couldn't travel internationally for 20 years after my first classified job without specific State Department approval, so I didn't travel internationally. Until the Iron Curtain fell, there was no way they would let me go behind it.

It was a very special feeling to go through "Check Point Charley" into East Berlin and to go to Romania. It was even a hoot to go to Berlin. Before The Wall came down I would not have been given permission to go within 50 miles of East Germany.

There are 4 grandchildren in the picture. No, the little girl on the left is my elder daughter, mother of all 4, the fourth one was born a few weeks later.

Son in law David, other son in law David. Other Davids include eldest grandson David, younger son in law's dad, David, younger son in laws planed for son David. It doesn't seem like we will use up too many names! *But we might wear out DAVID.
